Jen Rohrig is a science fiction geek with 40+ years of experience being hard of hearing and dealing with other people’s assumptions about disabilities. Jen has not overcome their disabilities, instead they have continued to overcome other people’s assumptions about what those disabilities mean. Including surviving the first night in the hospital when doctors assumed they’d die. There’s even a story about kicking out the sides of the incubator at some point during that stay.
